## About the Role You'll be the tip of the spear for SDL's growth. Your job is to find SMB and mid-market tech companies that are stretched thin on engineering resources, open conversations with decision-makers, and book qualified meetings for our CEO. You're not closing deals — you're starting relationships. This is an early-stage hire. You'll have direct access to leadership, real input on messaging and positioning, and the kind of ownership that only exists when you're building something from scratch. ## What You'll Do - Research and build targeted lists of SMB and mid-market tech companies (seed through Series B startups, digital agencies, product studios) that would benefit from additional engineering capacity - Run outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and cold calls to engage CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Product, and founders - Qualify inbound interest and route it appropriately - Book discovery calls and demos for SDL's CEO - Track all activity and pipeline in CRM — keep it clean, keep it current - Collaborate with leadership to refine ICP, messaging, and outreach sequences based on what's working and what's not - Stay sharp on the competitive landscape — know how SDL's model compares to LATAM shops, Eastern European agencies, and traditional offshore providers - Surface patterns from conversations: what objections come up, what resonates, what verticals are biting ## What We're Looking For - 1–3 years of SDR, BDR, or outbound sales experience, ideally selling a technical service or B2B SaaS - Comfortable talking to technical buyers — you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to hold your own in a conversation about engineering teams, velocity, and tooling - Strong written communication — your cold emails need to be sharp, not templated - Self-directed and organized — this is a remote role with no one looking over your shoulder - Familiar with outbound tools (Apollo, Instantly, LinkedIn Sales Nav, or similar) - Genuinely curious about AI, offshore engineering, and how companies build technical teams - Bonus: experience selling staffing, staff augmentation, or engineering services ## Why SDL Ground floor of a company with a differentiated model and real traction — our first clients tried to hire our engineers directly because the value was that obvious The product sells itself when you get the right person on the phone — AI-native engineers at $1,500/month vs. $5,000–$8,000/month through traditional providers Direct line to the CEO — no layers, no bureaucracy Compensation includes base +
