## About the Role Two Words is a consultancy of designers, engineers, and operators. We work with enterprises on the products and platforms their business depends on — wealth platforms, tax workflows, pharma launches, internal tools that thousands of people open every morning. Work that has to clear policy, satisfy regulation, and still feel like one good idea. We're a team of ten across Mumbai and Manchester. Clients include BCG, EY India, Novo Nordisk, Microsoft, and a handful of others under NDA. Most of our engagements run for years, not months. We're hiring our first dedicated business development lead. You'll own the front of the funnel finding the right rooms, getting us into them, and turning first conversations into engagements. That means: - Building a pipeline of enterprise prospects across India, the UK, and adjacent markets — financial services, pharma, professional services, regulated platforms. - Running outbound that doesn't feel like outbound. Email, LinkedIn, events, warm intros, conference rooms. - Qualifying inbound. We get more than we can take on; you'll decide what's worth a first call. - Sitting in on early-stage client conversations alongside the founders, helping shape proposals and scope. - Owning the CRM, the follow-ups, and the rhythm of the pipeline. - Closing Discovery sprints (2–4 weeks) and helping convert them into longer Projects and Embedded engagements. You won't be selling alone. The founders are in every meaningful conversation. You will, however, be the one keeping the engine running. ## Requirements - 3+ years selling something complicated to enterprise buyers — services, platforms, consulting, or SaaS to large accounts. Agency or consulting BD experience is ideal but not required. - You can hold your own with a CXO. You've sat across from heads of design, CTOs, COOs, founders, and not flinched. - You write well. Cold emails, follow-ups, proposal language — the words matter here, and we'll notice. - You're organised in the boring, important ways. CRM hygiene, follow-up cadence, never letting a thread go cold. - You understand that our work is craft-led. You're not going to pitch us as "scalable" or promise "10x growth" in a deck. - You're comfortable with ambiguity. We don't have a playbook for you to inherit — you'll help build one. ## Nice to Have - A network in financial services, pharma, or enterprise tech. - Experience selling design, engineering, or AI services specifically. - Background in operations, finance, or a non-sales discipline before moving into BD. - Worked at a small studio or consultancy before — you know how this kind of business runs.
