## About Cravv
We're building Tara - an AI-powered cooking companion that mounts above your cooktop and provides real-time visual and voice guidance. Think of it as a co-pilot for your kitchen.
We're backed by one of the leading VCs in India and are gearing up for our Indian market entry. As a hardware + AI startup, we're in the rare category of companies that government grants are literally designed for deep tech, manufacturing, innovation. We just haven't tapped into that yet.
That's where you come in.
## The Role
We're looking for someone who can own government grants end-to-end from discovering relevant programs to submitting applications to helping us actually land them.
This isn't a "research and make a list" role. We want someone who will:
- Scout - Find federal, state, and international grants relevant to hardware, AI, deep tech, and manufacturing startups (US, India, Singapore, EU - wherever the opportunity is)
- Qualify - Figure out which ones we're actually eligible for and worth pursuing
- Apply - Draft applications, gather documentation, coordinate with our team, and submit
- Follow through - Track timelines, respond to queries, handle compliance requirements
- Learn the game - Understand how grant decisions are made and position us to win
## What Makes This Interesting
- Greenfield opportunity - You're not inheriting someone else's process. You're building the grants function from scratch.
- Real skin in the game - We're open to a success-linked bonus structure. If you help us secure a grant, you share in the upside. Details to be discussed, but we want this to feel like a partnership, not just an internship.
- Hardware + AI - Most grant programs are designed for exactly what we're building. The opportunity surface is large.
- Remote & flexible - Work from anywhere. We care about outcomes, not hours logged.
- Funded startup, real trajectory - We're not scrappy in a bad way. We have runway, a product in development, and a clear GTM path. This isn't a side project.
## You Might Be a Fit If...
- You've successfully helped secure at least one grant before (personal project, previous company, NGO, university research - any context counts)
- OR you've been deep in the grants ecosystem - maybe you've worked at an incubator, accelerator, or government innovation body
- You're obsessively organized and can manage multiple parallel applications with different timelines
- You can write clearly and persuasively (grant applications are part storytelling, part compliance)
- You're comfortable working independently with minimal hand-holding
- You're genuinely curious about how government funding works - not just doing this for a line on your resume
## Compensation
- Stipend: Competitive for internship (₹10K–20K/month depending on experience) - open to discussing based on your situation
- Success Bonus: We'll structure a bonus tied to grants secured. If you help us land a $50K grant, you should benefit meaningfully from that. We'll define this together before you start.
- Duration: 3–6 months to start, with possibility to extend or convert based on fit and outcomes
## How to Apply
Send us:
- A short note on why this role interests you
- Any prior grant work you've done (even if informal) - what was it, what was your role, what was the outcome?
- One grant program you think Cravv should apply for and why (bonus points for specificity)
No formal resume required, though you can attach one if you'd like.
## A Note on Honesty
We haven't explored grants seriously yet. This role is us betting that it's a high-leverage opportunity we've been ignoring. If you join, you'll be proving (or disproving) that thesis with us. If grants turn out to be a goldmine, this role grows. If they don't, we'll have learned something together.
We're looking for someone who finds that exciting, not risky.
Let's fund the future of cooking together.
