## About The Role
We are looking for an Account Executive to join our growing go-to-market team, based in either Los Angeles or NYC. You will own the full sales cycle from qualified pipeline through close, working directly with R&D, innovation, and IP leaders at enterprise organizations.
This role is highly consultative and requires the ability to translate complex technical workflows into clear business value. You will be responsible for driving revenue, shaping deal strategy, and working cross-functionally with product and customer success to ensure long-term customer impact.
## Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full sales cycle from discovery through close for enterprise and mid-market accounts
- Run structured discovery to understand customer R&D workflows, priorities, and buying processes
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations that clearly map Cypris capabilities to customer use cases
- Develop and execute account strategies to drive pipeline progression and close opportunities
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within Salesforce
- Partner closely with BDRs to convert inbound and outbound pipeline into qualified opportunities
- Navigate complex buying committees, including technical stakeholders, end users, and executives
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and inform roadmap priorities
- Ensure smooth handoff to customer success with clear documentation of use cases, stakeholders, and success criteria
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining a high standard of deal quality
## Requirements
- 4–8 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with a strong track record of closing deals
- Prior experience as a BDR or SDR before transitioning into a closing role
- Hands-on experience using Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience selling into enterprise or technical buyers (R&D, engineering, data, or innovation teams preferred)
- Strong discovery and qualification skills with the ability to understand complex workflows
- Ability to run structured, compelling product demonstrations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail in deal execution and pipeline hygiene
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and accountability
- Must be based in NYC or Los Angeles and willing to work in an office
## Nice to Have
- Experience selling data platforms, AI products, or technical research tools
- Familiarity with R&D, innovation, or IP workflows
- Experience selling into industries such as chemicals, materials science, pharma, or manufacturing
- Background working with technical buyers or running proof-of-value / trial processes
- Experience in a high-growth startup environment
