Job Overview:
A research staff in training contract under Dr Albert Cabot. The successful candidate will focus their theoretical research on the dynamics of open quantum systems and their applications in sensing and reservoir computing.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree in Physics or a related field, with a background in quantum physics.
- Admission: Pre-admission or admission to the UIB PhD programme in Physics.
- Eligibility Criteria (Scoring System):
- Official degrees in the specialized area (max. 20 points).
- Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points), such as research, innovation and transfer activities, teaching activity, professional certifications, complementary training, awards, etc.
- Video curriculum and, where applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points).
- Work experience in the field (max. 15 points), e.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points).
- Other merits (max. 5 points), such as degrees not related to the specialized area, recommendation letters, etc.
- Eligibility threshold: 60 points.
- Non-EU Degree Holders: Candidates with non-EU degrees must present a certificate of equivalence of their qualification to a European qualification, or proof of having applied for this equivalence, to proceed with hiring.

Selection Process:
The selection committee includes:
i. The relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for research (or delegated representative) as chair.
ii. The supervisor (or delegated representative).
iii. The members of the Research Area Assessment Committee (CARAI).
iv. One or more expert members in the topic pertaining to the recruitment and chosen by the chair of the committee, where applicable.
v. The head of FORHU (or delegated representative), as secretary, who may speak but not vote.
