Responsibilities
Lead and continuously improve hospital medical and clinical operations; Drive bed management, ward capacity, admissions, transfers and discharge optimisation; Improve Emergency Department flow, escalation and movement of patients into inpatient services; Optimise operating theatre utilisation, scheduling, surgical capacity and associated clinical resources; Support effective management of ICU and critical-care capacity; Coordinate operational delivery across medical, nursing, allied health and hospital administration teams; Establish and monitor KPIs around patient flow, utilisation, throughput, quality and operational performance; Identify bottlenecks across the patient journey and lead practical improvement programmes; Strengthen clinical governance, patient safety, incident review and continuous quality improvement; Support development and implementation of clinical pathways, protocols and operating standards; Work with hospital leadership on service-line development, Centres of Excellence and clinical programme expansion; Support accreditation and quality programmes, including JCI and other recognised healthcare standards; Provide leadership and mentorship to medical operations teams and work closely with Hospital CMOs and senior nursing leadership.
