## About the Role We are building a cross-border ecommerce marketplace app for India. Founders have been operating this model since past 5 years and have deep experience building cross-border infrastructure. Currently operating on UK-India route with the ambition of connect major economies to India we aim to hire a found technical lead. The product is fully funded, the vision is clear, and we need the right technical leader to make it real. You will be the first technical hire, shaping everything from architecture to team culture. You will not be handed a spec and asked to execute you will help write the spec, hire the team, and own the delivery. ## What You Will Own - Define and own the full technical architecture of the platform mobile (iOS + Android), backend APIs, admin panel, and cloud infrastructure - Choose the technology stack and make it defensible - we trust your judgment - Hire, onboard, and lead a team of 5–6 engineers (mix of seniors and juniors via our partner in Lithuania) - Deliver a production-ready marketplace app within 8 months - Own cross-border technical requirements: multi-currency payments, VAT/tax logic, multi-language localisation, and GDPR compliance ( we will feed in the logic based on our operating experience) - Run agile sprints, remove blockers, and report progress directly to the founding team - Set engineering standards - code review culture, testing practices, deployment pipelines ## What We Are Looking For ### Must Have Strong Advantage - 7+ years engineering experience - Experience at a scale-up or product company - Built & shipped marketplace or on-demand app - Cross-border ecommerce or logistics background - Led a team of 5+ engineers - Multi-vendor / marketplace architecture - React Native (iOS + Android) - Real-time features (WebSockets, push notifications) - Node.js or Python backend / microservices - CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform) - Payment Processor Integration Experience - Multi-language / i18n implementation is a plus - AWS or GCP — production scale - Startup or zero-to-one product experience Our preference is for employee who has UK visa however we are willing to apply UK work Visa for right candidate.
