This position is responsible for providing first-level technical assistance to employees, customers, and end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, network, and system-related issues. As an IT Help Desk Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support requests and play a critical role in ensuring users can effectively utilize technology resources. Provide first-line technical support to users through phone, email, chat, ticketing systems, and remote support tools. - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues. - Troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment. - Assist users with software installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting. - Support Microsoft Windows, macOS, and approved business applications. - Resolve connectivity issues involving internet access, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and remote access platforms. - Identify root causes of technical issues and implement effective solutions. ### Help Desk Operations - Receive, log, prioritize, and manage support tickets in accordance with company procedures. - Monitor ticket queues and ensure requests are addressed within established service-level agreements (SLAs). - Track issue progress and provide timely updates to users. - Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior technical personnel when appropriate. - Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical notes accurately. - Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and support activities. ### User Account and Access Management - Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access requests. - Support authentication systems and multi-factor authentication processes. - Manage permissions and user access according to company policies. - Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning and deactivation. - Ensure proper security protocols are followed when handling account-related requests. ### Hardware and Software Support - Promote security awareness and technology best practices among users. ### Documentation and Knowledge Management - Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles. - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. - Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk support, desktop support, or technical support roles. - Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems. - Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 and common business applications. - Familiarity with remote support software and help desk ticketing systems. - Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. -
