## About the Role
Aspire IT LLC is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Help Desk Support Specialist to join our growing technical support team. This position is responsible for providing first-level technical assistance to employees, customers, and end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, network, and system-related issues. As an IT Help Desk Support Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for technical support requests and play a critical role in ensuring users can effectively utilize technology resources. You will respond to incidents and service requests, document solutions, escalate complex issues when necessary, and contribute to maintaining a productive and secure technology environment.

## Key Responsibilities
### Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide first-line technical support to users through phone, email, chat, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues.
- Troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Assist users with software installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Support Microsoft Windows, macOS, and approved business applications.
- Resolve connectivity issues involving internet access, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and remote access platforms.
- Identify root causes of technical issues and implement effective solutions.
### Help Desk Operations
- Receive, log, prioritize, and manage support tickets in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor ticket queues and ensure requests are addressed within established service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Track issue progress and provide timely updates to users.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior technical personnel when appropriate.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical notes accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and support activities.
### User Account and Access Management
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access requests.
- Support authentication systems and multi-factor authentication processes.
- Manage permissions and user access according to company policies.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning and deactivation.
- Ensure proper security protocols are followed when handling account-related requests.
### Hardware and Software Support
- Configure and deploy company-approved hardware and software.
- Assist with equipment setup, upgrades, and replacements.
- Maintain hardware inventory records and asset tracking documentation.
- Coordinate warranty claims, repairs, and vendor support when necessary.
- Ensure systems remain updated with current software versions and security patches.
- Support printers, scanners, webcams, conferencing systems, and other peripherals.
### Cloud and Productivity Tools Support
- Provide assistance with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other cloud-based applications.
- Troubleshoot email, calendar, file-sharing, and collaboration platform issues.
- Support virtual meeting platforms and communication tools.
- Guide users on best practices for utilizing business productivity applications.
- Assist with cloud-based storage and document management systems.
### Security and Compliance
- Follow established cybersecurity policies and IT procedures.
- Assist in maintaining endpoint security standards.
- Identify and report potential security threats or suspicious activities.
- Support software patching and vulnerability management efforts.
- Handle confidential information responsibly and securely.
- Promote security awareness and technology best practices among users.
### Documentation and Knowledge Management
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Document recurring issues and recommended solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and procedures.
- Assist in developing training materials and user support resources.
- Maintain accurate and organized support documentation.
### Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with network administrators, system administrators, and other IT professionals.
- Participate in team meetings, technical discussions, and training sessions.
- Share knowledge, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
- Support departmental projects and technology initiatives.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
## Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk support, desktop support, or technical support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 and common business applications.
- Familiarity with remote support software and help desk ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests effectively.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and dedicated remote workspace.
