Epic Application Analyst
Salary: $92,400 - 159,450 per year
Requirements:
We require a current Epic Certification in a revenue cycle-focused module. We require Epic Administrator Certification in a revenue cycle-focused module. We look for at least 3 years of Epic build experience in revenue cycle functions, with billing and patient access experience preferred. We prefer a four-year bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience. We need a strong implementation background. We value working knowledge of other revenue cycle-focused Epic applications. We value a solid understanding of interfaces and interface messages. We seek strong knowledge of hospital and/or ambulatory revenue cycle operations. We expect willingness to travel up to 25% and to work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate offices as needed. We expect curiosity and openness to innovation, including AI, to improve processes and enhance patient and client experiences.
Responsibilities:
We develop and execute long-term Epic best-practice strategy across both operations and IT. We ensure stakeholders understand the significance and impact of upcoming changes. We support operational leaders with process improvement and Epic best practices education. We help implement policies and collaborate with Revenue Cycle leaders on reporting, work queue strategy, and workflow design. We drive revenue improvement by standardizing workflows and refining processes. We serve as the primary lead for Epic issues and new change requests. We prepare and review decision documents, SBARDs, and other materials needed to support build work. We run client meetings and monitor client satisfaction. We focus on areas such as denial reduction, DNFB/CFB reduction, late charge reduction, registration accuracy, scheduling accuracy, authorization capture, coding accuracy, and productivity gains. We partner with revenue cycle and Epic IT leadership to build best-practice processes and Epic functionality. We create project plans, timelines, and regular status reports for major improvement initiatives. We track KPIs, recommend workflow or system enhancements, and ensure timelines are met. We maintain a strong grasp of Epic functionality, certifications, and release updates. We perform account-level reviews and audits to support optimal system performance. We produce high-quality internal and external materials. We complete system build work through IT change control. We participate in integrated and user acceptance testing. We support the IT team by logging, tracking, and escalating tickets as needed. We assist with training materials, curriculum, and Epic tip sheets. We conduct direct observations in operational areas to confirm best-practice workflows and identify learning opportunities. We support Epic certification efforts and act as a subject matter expert in system functionality. We help educate revenue cycle leadership to deepen operational Epic expertise. We participate in assessments to identify client improvement opportunities. We support the sales team with new-client guidance and system functionality questions. We develop marketing and other sales support materials. We identify new opportunities for client engagements.
