Epic Senior Systems Analyst - ClinDoc/Stork
Salary: $98,000 - 138,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare administration, or a closely related discipline. We require 5–7 years of system analysis and support experience in a healthcare environment, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree. We need hands-on experience with Epic applications and healthcare workflows, including clinical, revenue cycle, or IT support. We expect strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing. We look for familiarity with ITIL, change control, SDLC practices, system governance, and waterfall or agile delivery methods. We require the ability to communicate effectively with clinical and operational stakeholders, managed service providers, and to produce clear documentation. We need a proven record of managing complex initiatives and guiding cross-functional teams. For the Application Training focus, we require Epic Training Environment Build certification, 3+ years of experience, and two Epic Application Principal Trainer certifications. For the Application Build focus, preferred qualifications include current Epic certification or proficiency in one or more relevant modules such as HB, PB, Cadence, Referrals, Orders, ClinDoc, or Clarity. For the Application Build focus, preferred qualifications also include 3+ years of Epic build and configuration experience, leadership or supervisory experience, and exposure to system integration, HL7, FHIR, and interface testing. For the Application Build focus, experience with SQL, Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, or reporting tools such as Radar and Reporting Workbench is preferred. Experience in patient access, billing, coding, finance, or clinical operations is also preferred for the relevant module area. We value ITIL Foundation certification, Epic application certifications, experience in a large healthcare system or hospital setting, and knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, business intelligence tools, and an advanced degree in a related field are considered assets.
Responsibilities:
We gather and refine stakeholder requirements, map current workflows, and design Epic solutions aligned with operational objectives and policy. We create and maintain specifications, decision logs, and design documentation to support traceability and change control. We perform gap analyses to identify configuration or process adjustments needed for upgrades, regulatory changes, or new initiatives. We manage smaller implementation and upgrade projects using waterfall or agile approaches as appropriate. We support system documentation, maintain process references, and mentor junior analysts on best practices. In the Application Build focus, we configure records, master files, profiles, rules, security classes, and workflows based on approved designs. We maintain environment consistency and follow change management standards and build naming conventions. We develop and run unit, integration, and UAT test plans, resolve defects, and document testing evidence. We validate interfaces, printing, reporting, and downstream workflows, including regression testing during upgrades. We coordinate release management, environment migrations, and downtime activities for patches and upgrades. We provide go-live and post-go-live support, including rounding, office hours, tip sheets, and hands-on assistance. We manage service requests and incidents promptly, triage root causes, and work to meet SLA expectations. We deliver advanced support for Epic, Workday, Kronos, and related applications while collaborating with IT and clinical partners across the broader application portfolio. We partner with interface teams on HL7, FHIR, PDFs, CCD/CCDA, and other data exchange workflows. We work with analytics teams on Clarity and Caboodle extracts, registries, and operational reporting needs. We protect data integrity and maintain consistent metric definitions across modules and stakeholders. We support regulatory readiness, audit requirements, policy alignment, and privacy/security controls, including sensitive record handling and audit trails. We contribute to ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes. In the Application Training focus, we design and implement training programs aligned with organizational strategy and operational goals. We oversee curriculum governance, maintenance, enhancements, and readiness of training environments. We incorporate learner and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery. We manage training-related requests and incidents, prioritize work, and resolve issues within service expectations. We document issues and resolutions to strengthen the knowledge base and improve support processes.
