Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, healthcare administration, or a related discipline. We consider 5-7 years of system analysis and support experience in a healthcare environment, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree. We need experience with Epic applications and healthcare workflows, including clinical, revenue cycle, or IT contexts. We look for strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing. We value familiarity with ITIL, change control, SDLC practices, system governance, and waterfall or agile delivery methods. We need the ability to communicate effectively with clinical and operational stakeholders and managed service providers, while producing clear documentation. We expect a proven history of managing complex initiatives and leading cross-functional teams. For the training-focused role, we require Epic Training Environment Build certification with 3+ years of experience and two Epic Application Principal Trainer certifications. For the build-focused role, current Epic certification or proficiency in relevant modules is preferred, along with 3+ years of Epic build and configuration experience. For the build-focused role, leadership or supervisory experience, system integration knowledge, HL7/FHIR exposure, interface testing experience, and familiarity with SQL, Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, or reporting tools are preferred. We also value experience in patient access, billing, coding, finance, or clinical operations, depending on the module. Additional desirable qualifications include ITIL Foundation, Epic application certifications, large health system experience, knowledge of healthcare compliance standards, cloud platform familiarity, business intelligence experience, and an advanced degree.
Responsibilities:
We partner with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, map current workflows, and design Epic solutions that support operational objectives and policy. We create and maintain specifications, decision logs, and design documentation to ensure traceability and disciplined change control. We perform gap analyses to identify configuration or workflow adjustments needed for upgrades, regulatory updates, or new initiatives. We manage smaller implementation and upgrade projects and may lead teams using waterfall or agile methodologies. We maintain thorough system and process documentation, and we mentor junior analysts on best practices. In the build role, we configure records, master files, and tools such as profiles, rules, security classes, and workflows in line with approved designs. We keep environments aligned, follow change management standards, and observe build naming conventions. We develop and execute unit, integrated, and UAT test plans, resolve defects, and retain test evidence. We validate interfaces, printing, reporting, and downstream workflows, including regression coverage during upgrades. We coordinate release activities, environment migrations, and downtime procedures for upgrades and patches. We provide go-live and post-go-live support, including rounding, office hours, tip sheets, and hands-on assistance. We handle service requests and incidents promptly, using triage and root-cause analysis to meet service-level expectations. We deliver advanced support for Epic, Workday, Kronos, and other applications, collaborating across IT and clinical teams to integrate systems across the portfolio. We work with interface teams on HL7, FHIR, PDFs, CCD/CCDA, and other data exchange processes. We partner with analytics teams on Clarity and Caboodle extracts, registries, and operational reporting needs. We protect data integrity and maintain consistent metric definitions across modules and stakeholders. We support regulatory readiness, audit activities, policy alignment, and privacy and security controls. We contribute to ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes. In the training role, we design and implement tailored training programs aligned with organizational strategy and operational goals. We oversee curriculum governance, maintenance, enhancement, and readiness for the CareConnect training program. We ensure curriculum content stays accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational priorities. We incorporate learner and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve training materials. We oversee training environment build, maintenance, and readiness. We communicate clearly and promptly about system releases and upgrades. We manage training-related requests and incidents professionally, prioritizing, assigning, and resolving them within service expectations. We document incidents and resolutions to strengthen the knowledge base. We collaborate with IT and operational partners to identify trends, prevent recurring issues, and improve support processes.
