IT Project Manager

Salary: $124,000 - 155,000 per year
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in leading medium- to large-scale projects from initiation through implementation and closeout. We need demonstrated expertise in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, deliverables, and performance measures. We require a solid understanding of information technology projects, including software development work using Agile or similar iterative approaches. We expect experience across systems planning, design, development, testing, implementation, operational support, or continuous improvement activities. We value vendor and contract management experience, including statements of work, proposal review, and contract performance oversight. We need proven business acumen, with the ability to apply knowledge of operations, budgeting, and financial management to project delivery. We seek strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and build productive stakeholder relationships. We require the ability to analyze complex information, identify risks, and make sound decisions that support organizational goals. We expect proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, scheduling software, and standard business applications for reporting and documentation. Responsibilities:
We manage IT projects within an assigned workstream portfolio and apply project management best practices to plan, coordinate, and track delivery. We lead project information technology efforts for the enterprise resource planning system supporting state agencies, higher education, the Legislature, and the Governor. We provide leadership, consultation, and oversight to project team members and business partners throughout the project lifecycle. We develop and maintain IT plans of action, timelines, priorities, and resource strategies. We work with One Washington IT functions and internal OFM IT teams to identify project needs, issues, and risks. We prepare and maintain project documentation covering integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement, and proofs of concept. We manage change, risk, and quality processes across the life of the project. We communicate project issues, risks, changes, accomplishments, and status updates to internal and external partners. We collaborate with senior program leaders to define project controls and ensure alignment on project objectives. We develop and implement project management standards, processes, best practices, and templates. We provide project management services such as status reporting, budget updates, meeting facilitation, governance support, and task completion oversight. We research new and effective approaches to improve project management methods and tools. We work with stakeholders to define scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and work plans, and we adjust them as conditions change.
