Job Summary

As a Customer Success Engineer (CSE) at Palo Alto Networks, you will be a key Idira(previously CyberArk) technical specialist within our Customer Success organization. You will bridge the gap between technical implementation and business value, acting as an on-demand technical expert to guide deployments, support integrations, and drive customer satisfaction.

Leveraging your expert product knowledge and consultative skills, you will ensure a seamless onboarding experience and accelerate time-to-value for our customers. You will collaborate closely with Onboarding Customer Success Managers, Sales, and Product Management to solve complex technical challenges and advocate for the customer’s technical needs internally.

• Onboarding & Adoption: Assist Onboarding CSM to guide new customers through the initial stages of their product journey, orchestrating technical milestones to ensure a smooth transition and early value realization.

• Strategic Technical Advisory: Conduct Palo Alto Networks Blueprint sessions to align Identity Security best practices with the customer’s unique business and security outcomes.

• Consultative Guidance: Act as a trusted advisor, providing prescriptive recommendations tailored to risk, compliance, and security objectives.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales/Pre-Sales, and Channel teams to deliver a unified customer journey and serve as on demand technical advisor for existing customers that require targeted assistance.

• Customer Engagement: Lead technical workshops, and community engagement programs to deepen product usage and identify growth opportunities.

• Content Leadership: Develop educational content, including webinars, blogs, and "how-to" guides, for both technical and executive audiences.

• Voice of the Customer: Provide structured feedback to Product Management and Engineering to influence the product roadmap based on real-world customer usage and challenges.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Professional Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Customer Success Engineering, Technical Support, or Solution Engineering).

• Technical Expertise:Strong background in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions. Hands-on experience with Windows/Active Directory administration, UNIX/Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Solid understanding of networking, application security, and the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with security frameworks such as Zero Trust, NIST, or CIS Controls.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for executive audiences. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to mitigating technical risks. Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple enterprise accounts simultaneously.

• Preferred Certifications: Security+, CISSP, or CyberArk(now Idira) certifications (e.g., CyberArk Defender, Sentry, or CDE) are highly desirable given the identity security focus.
