You understand that every hire has the potential to accelerate—or constrain—the company's ability to achieve its mission. You bring a deep appreciation for the impact talent has on company outcomes and are passionate about building world-class teams that help save lives every day. You are equally comfortable operating at the strategic and tactical levels. One moment, you're partnering with executives on organizational design, headcount planning, and talent market strategy; the next, you're personally engaging and closing transformative talent. You use data, market insights, and sound judgment to influence hiring decisions, improve recruiting effectiveness, and elevate hiring standards across the organization. You thrive in fast-moving environments where ambiguity is constant, priorities evolve quickly, and scaling effectively requires creativity, resilience, and exceptional execution. You are energized by solving complex talent challenges, building trusted relationships across the company, and raising the bar for what great recruiting looks like. ## Responsibilities - Serve as a strategic talent advisor to executives, functional leaders, and hiring managers, influencing hiring decisions, organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy. - Develop and execute hiring strategies for critical business functions, ensuring Zipline attracts and hires exceptional talent at scale while maintaining an uncompromising quality bar. - Partner with leadership to anticipate future talent needs, identify organizational gaps, and build proactive talent pipelines aligned to business objectives. - Drive end-to-end recruiting efforts for high-impact and business-critical roles, including sourcing, assessment strategy, candidate management, offer negotiation, and closing. - Leverage talent market intelligence, competitive insights, and recruiting analytics to inform hiring strategies and improve decision-making. - Identify opportunities to improve recruiting systems, processes, and operational efficiency, driving scalable solutions that increase hiring velocity and quality. - Influence and elevate interviewing excellence across the company through interviewer training, calibration, structured hiring practices, and data-driven decision making. - Build and nurture diverse talent pipelines while championing inclusive hiring practices throughout the recruiting lifecycle. - Partner cross-functionally with People Operations, Compensation, Finance, and Leadership teams to support company growth initiatives and strategic workforce planning. - Mentor recruiters and hiring teams, sharing best practices and helping strengthen Zipline's overall recruiting capability. - Act as a steward of Zipline's employer brand, ensuring every candidate interaction reflects our mission, values, and high standards. ## Requirements - 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience partnering with senior leaders and executives in high-growth, fast-paced environments. - Proven success hiring exceptional talent across technical, operational, and leadership functions, including difficult-to-fill and business-critical roles. - Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, challenge, and advise leaders through data, market insights, and sound judgment. - Demonstrated experience developing talent acquisition strategies that materially impact organizational growth and business outcomes. - Deep expertise in sourcing, assessment, candidate engagement, negotiation, and closing. - Strong analytical capabilities with experience leveraging recruiting metrics and market intelligence to drive decisions and improve outcomes. - Track record of building scalable recruiting processes and leading operational improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and candidate experience. - Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills. - Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and operate independently in a rapidly evolving environment. - Passion for building diverse, inclusive teams and creating equitable hiring practices. - A growth mindset and commitment to continuously raising the bar for yourself, your hiring partners, and the recruiting function. ## What Else You Need to Know The starting cash range for this role is $135,000 - $180,000.
