Community Events Manager Latin America Candidates Only

## About the role To be clear, this role is NOT focused on building community and marketing in the LATAM region. It's to support Mucker's initiatives in the US region. You will be part of Mucker's small but mighty internal marketing team where you will be managing the community programs for our founders, partners, and operating experts mentor network. Those who have extensive experience working in lean marketing teams and scrappy startups, have strong attention to detail and sense of pride in your work, and have a bias towards action will be successful in this role. ## Responsibilities ### Mucker Founder & Partner Communities - Onboard new founders into the Mucker Founder & Portfolio Company community - Foster greater engagement and activity within the Mucker Founder Slack channel - Manage 3rd party partnerships, including Mucker Perks program - Manage Mucker Operating Experts program - Assist in advising Mucker portfolio companies as needed ### Event Marketing & Management - Own the planning and execution for events that Mucker will lead or participate in - Source and coordinate with vendors - Work with internal marketing team to promote the event and drive attendees - Secure sponsorships with key partners to raise funds in order to run Mucker events ### Public Relations - Maintain internal documentation to keep track of potential news announcements - Coordinate with internal team members as well as any 3rd party consultants and/or contacts at news outlets for announcements - Identify potential speaking opportunities at events, podcasts, webinars, etc. for Mucker team members ### General Marketing Administration - Assist in keeping track of KPIs, budget and spending related to Mucker's marketing activities, etc. ## Requirements - Must have at least 4 years of early-stage startup experience - Project management & organizational skills with strong attention to detail required - Experience growing communities or managing partner programs is highly desired - Customer success experience may be beneficial - Creative and scrappy problem solver - Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at a time - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Experience with any of the following tools a plus: Airtable, Notion, Discord, Wordpress, Canva, Zapier, any AI-based tools ## What we offer This is a full-time, remote contractor role.
