## Role Objective The primary mission of this role is to drive the product strategy for network equipment in the Japanese market. You will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing market trends and product roadmap information to support local sales strategies. You will work closely with headquarters (HQ) product managers and stakeholders to ensure that Japan-specific requirements and feedback from the field are reflected in the global product roadmap, thereby maximizing product success in Japan. ## Responsibilities - Market Analysis & Insight Gathering: Analyze Japanese network market trends, competitor activities, and technical requirements, and provide regular reports to the local product sales team. - Sales & Customer Collaboration: Collect and organize feedback from local sales teams and key customers to contribute to product improvements and the prioritization of new feature development. - HQ Coordination & Liaison: Based on data analysis, clearly communicate business opportunities in the Japanese market to HQ product managers and negotiate/advocate for their integration into global product strategies and roadmaps. - Sales & Operations Support: - Provide necessary information and coordination regarding sales methods, shipping processes, and regulatory certifications (e.g., Radio Law/TELEC). - Act as a coordinator among relevant departments to resolve issues arising in the supply chain or other operational areas. - Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy Execution: In alignment with HQ product strategies, collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive local product launches and sales promotion activities. - Technical Support: Acquire deep technical knowledge of HQ products and serve as a technical resource and escalation point for local sales teams and partners, including conducting product training. ## Requirements - Deep technical knowledge and practical experience with network equipment (e.g., routers, switches, wireless LAN). - Business-level English proficiency (for smooth communication, negotiation, and documentation with HQ product managers). - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (essential for cross-departmental coordination). - Market analysis capabilities and data-driven decision-making skills. ## Nice to Have - Experience as a Product Manager or Pre-sales Engineer at a global IT company. - Experience leading cross-functional teams. - Established network of contacts with key customers and partners in the Japanese network industry. ## Benefits At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
