Head of Web Development

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic Head of Web Development to lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of HFM’s global websites. This role owns the end-to-end development of high-traffic corporate and marketing websites, as well as the CMS and systems that power them. The focus is on building fast, scalable, and conversion-driven websites that support business growth across multiple regions. Your role at HFM: Lead, mentor, and scale web development teams (Frontend, Backend, QA). Define and execute the website technology strategy and roadmap. Oversee the development and continuous optimization of: Corporate and marketing websites. CMS platforms and backend systems supporting website content. Promotional email deliverability. Ensure websites are high-performing, responsive, and fully optimized across browsers and devices. Drive SEO performance, Core Web Vitals, and conversion rate optimization. Collaborate closely with Marketing, IT, Product, UX/UI, and Compliance teams to deliver effective web experiences. Implement modern architectures to support scalable and maintainable websites. Ensure strong security practices and data protection across all web properties. Drive the adoption of AI-driven tools to enhance code quality, streamline development workflows, and improve overall engineering productivity. Requirements 10+ years of experience in web development, with at least 5 years leading and managing engineering teams. Deep expertise in modern web technologies(React, NextJS, NodeJS, Python, HTML, CSS3). Strong experience integrating websites with backend systems (APIs, services). Strong understanding of databases supporting high-traffic websites, including performance and scalability considerations. Proven experience building and scaling high-traffic websites. Experience managing cross-functional teams. Solid understanding of web performance, SEO, and security best practices. Translate business KPIs into measurable technical objectives and execution plans. Assess technical requirements and provide reliable timelines and delivery estimates. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams and drive clear decision-making. Nice to have: Experience in fintech, trading, or highly regulated industries. Familiarity with data-driven or interactive web experiences (e.g., dashboards). Experience with CMS platforms, especially headless CMS. Strong understanding of SEO in competitive global markets. What Success Looks Like: Fast, scalable, and highly reliable websites.
