Engineer II - Overnight - Fort Lauderdale

Salary: $52,000 - 89,000 per year
Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with a vocational or technical background Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification Must meet state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience Experience in general maintenance, including exterior and interior surface preparation and painting Valid Drivers License Proficiency in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, general building management, and energy conservation Solid knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools Basic ability to repair or replace PVC and copper pipes
Responsibilities:
Respond to and address guest repair requests Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance concerns independently Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, or machines Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and request parts as needed Document daily activities and issues to be shared with other shifts Display proficiency in various engineering categories and basic skills in others Troubleshoot and conduct basic repairs on all types of equipment and plumbing systems Program televisions and manage general housekeeping and engineering tasks Assist with surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and area cleanup Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system for safety during maintenance work Use engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance and energy management Train and mentor junior engineers Carry out Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and check-ups Follow company safety policies and report maintenance issues or safety hazards Maintain professionalism in appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information Build positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required Complete any other tasks as assigned
