Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

Salary: $108,476 - 184,409 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree. We need 3+ years of experience building CI/CD pipelines and integrating open-source plugins. We require 3+ years of experience working in DevOps, Agile, or Scrum environments. We need 5+ years of hands-on experience with configuration management, cloud orchestration, and automation tools in AWS environments. We require 5+ years of experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in AWS cloud environments. We need 2+ years of experience identifying and implementing automation for continuous integration and continuous deployment. We require 5+ years of experience writing infrastructure as code with Terraform. We require the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance. We require that you reside in the United States, be authorized to work in the United States, and complete all work within the United States. We require that you have lived in the United States for at least three of the last five years. Preferred: working knowledge of Linux. Preferred: experience with automated monitoring solutions, dashboards, alerts, and real-time metrics using Splunk or similar tools. Preferred: familiarity with multi-account architecture, including AWS Control Tower, SCPs, GuardRails, and Transit Gateways. Preferred: broader technical exposure across cloud architecture, cloud migrations, application development, networking, security, storage, analytics, or machine learning. Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification. Preferred: familiarity with NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, and Common Criteria standards. Preferred: familiarity with MLOps, the machine learning lifecycle, and related tools such as Amazon SageMaker, Apache Airflow, Looker, or Trifacta.
Responsibilities:
We implement cloud-based solutions in AWS using infrastructure as code. We deploy, configure, and operate infrastructure for a range of AWS services using tools such as Terraform. We collaborate with technical stakeholders across development, networking, infrastructure, information security, risk, identity and access management, and security operations. We automate and optimize application and infrastructure environments. We work with cloud infrastructure components including AMIs, containers, and serverless functions. We develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines that support feature delivery, fixes, and system updates across development, integration, and production environments. We set up, integrate, and maintain scalable CI/CD tooling for development, testing, and security scanning. We implement Amazon CloudWatch and third-party monitoring solutions to continuously track system health, infrastructure, performance, application errors, and metrics. We analyze business requirements and translate functional and non-functional needs into technical operational requirements. We propose CI/CD pipeline designs using appropriate tools and plugins. We contribute as part of a small, high-impact team pushing technical boundaries.
