Senior Software Engineer - Pega

Salary: $117,614 - 140,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance. Alternatively, we accept a High School Diploma or GED with 8 years of experience in software application development and maintenance. We need a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) with strong hands-on experience on the Pega Platform. We prefer experience designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise-grade applications on Pega. We value technical leadership on complex Pega implementations. We look for experience with AI-enabled solutions using Pega GenAI, Knowledge Buddy, Agentic AI, or similar capabilities. We seek experience leading solution architecture, application design, and code reviews for scalability, maintainability, and performance. We prefer experience building reusable frameworks, components, and enterprise design standards. We value integration experience with REST, SOAP, messaging, and event-driven architectures. We look for experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, automated testing, and release management. We prefer experience troubleshooting complex production issues and supporting critical incidents. We want experience mentoring developers, Senior System Architects, and System Architects on Pega best practices. We expect knowledge of enterprise security, governance, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
We evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications through system enhancements. We use programming specifications to build modules, develop testing approaches, and create design materials. We estimate the effort for new features and support implementation of system changes. We execute test plans to confirm applications function as intended. We gather user-request data and assess scope, timing, and system impact. We review business specifications, coding, test plans, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. We provide technical support for production systems, resolve reported issues, and anticipate maintenance needs. We create documentation for system, end-user, and operational use, including technical specifications and application designs. We participate in the full software development lifecycle, including creation, enhancement, implementation, and evaluation. We serve as a technical resource for management, associates, and business teams. We provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis. We stay current on emerging Pega capabilities, AI technologies, and industry best practices.
