Job Overview:
Opportunity to join the team of Achille Broggi as postdoctoral fellow studying innate immunity in the intestinal mucosa. You will lead a project that will study how type III interferons affect intestinal repair. The position is located at the Centre d'Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML), an internationally renowned research unit. Situated on the Luminy campus, south of Marseille (France), the CIML is a joint unit of the CNRS, Inserm, and Aix-Marseille University, bringing together approximately 200 people across 16 research teams. The successful candidate will join the innate immunity at mucosal sites team led by Achille Broggi and will work under the direct supervision of Dr. Broggi.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a project studying how type III interferons affect intestinal repair.
- Conduct research on innate immunity in the intestinal mucosa.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: PhD or equivalent in immunology, stem cell biology, or stromal cell biology (or be in the process of obtaining one, with thesis submitted at the time of application).
- Experience: 4-10 years of research experience in Biological sciences, Medical sciences, or Pharmacological sciences.
- Essential Skills: Proven experience in intestinal immunity, confocal microscopy, and microbiome biology.
- Additional Skills: Relevant specialized experience in molecular and cellular biology, molecular genetics, and in vivo studies—ideally related to intestinal epithelial cells.
- Language: Basic French.
- Profile: Strong background in immunology and a keen interest in developing expertise in intestinal mucosa research.
