M/F Postdoctorat part-time position 50% - Transitions socio-écologiques et dynamiques territoriales en Amazonie- Amazonie brésilienne - ANR DURAMAZ3
Role Overview:
This position is part of the ANR-FAPESP DURAMAZ3 project, which aims to study the role of the municipal level in the implementation (or lack thereof) of policies and initiatives promoting more sustainable development in the Brazilian Amazon. The position is offered on a part-time basis (50%), with a flexible work schedule over a 12-month period.
Responsibilities:
- Take part in collective research and develop their own research aligned with the overall objectives of the DURAMAZ3 project.
- Contribute to the operational coordination of the project in support of the principal investigators.
- Take part in fieldwork and all tasks outlined in the project.
- Assist in coordinating collaborative publication projects.
- Support the scientific and logistical coordination of the project.
- Contribute to the data management plan.
- Oversee communication and outreach for the project in collaboration with the project team and the laboratory.
- Serve as the liaison between the international CNRS laboratory, the Brazilian research team based in São Paulo, and the French side of the project, in coordination with the support services of the organizations involved.
- Regularly travel to the site.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education Level: PhD or equivalent in Geography, Architecture, or Sociology.
- Research Experience: 1 - 4 years.
- Languages: Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese; Basic French.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Knowledge of the context of the Brazilian Amazon, its administrative and political organizations, and issues related to environmental sustainability.
- Experience leading collaborative projects.
- Field experience abroad.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and strong reporting skills.
- Strong personal and professional organizational skills.
