Responsibilities

Overseeing day-to-day finance processing and reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations and general ledger transactions. Preparing journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end and year-end processes. Processing fortnightly payroll and maintaining payroll settings, award rates, classifications, allowances, and entitlements. Supporting compliance with the SCHADS Award and relevant payroll requirements. Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance commentary. Supporting budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts. Monitoring statutory obligations including superannuation, BAS and IAS. Maintaining accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financial records. Providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, and quality oversight to the Finance Officer. Identifying discrepancies and emerging financial issues and escalating material or complex matters when required.
