Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop Operations Engineers; set priorities and allocate engineering resources across rigs; serve as senior engineering liaison with Operator and Company leadership; provide technical leadership and escalation support for complex equipment and operational issues; define department objectives and approve operating plans, budgets, and risk controls; review drilling performance, safety trends, and downtime; establish and maintain engineering standards and management-of-change discipline; oversee planning for rig platform structural inspections and maintenance programs; monitor rig condition and preventive maintenance performance; communicate reports to senior management and customers regarding drilling progress and operational risks.
