Job Description 

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in modern web UI development. This role is ideal for someone who leads from the front i.e. building scalable, high-quality web applications, driving technical decisions, mentoring engineers. 

This is a strong frontend emphasis role. The ideal candidate brings excellent UI engineering skills, along with exposure to backend development, and the ability to own, manage UI features independently. 

What You’ll Do 

• Design and develop rich, scalable, modular web applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, Tailwind, CSS. 

• Build high-quality user interfaces with strong attention to usability, responsiveness and accessibility. 

• Develop unit tests, perform end-to-end test of UI modules and components of medium complexity 

• Maintain and support legacy Web UI applications of medium complexity 

• Contribute to peer UI code evaluations  

• Work in Agile/Scrum teams and manage work using tools like JIRA, Gitlab, Confluence. 

• Use appropriate AI tools to assist and enhance UI development. 

• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture and system design decisions.  

• Collaborate with product, business, and architecture teams to deliver robust, end-to-end solutions.  

• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering strong engineering practices and continuous improvement.  

• Drive best practices in frontend development, testing, and performance optimization.  

• Evaluate new technologies and lead proof-of-concepts.  

• Contribute across the full software lifecycle, including development, deployment, and production support.  

What You Bring 

Required Qualifications: 

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.  

• 8+ years of experience in software development with strong front-end exposure.  

• Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) /TypeScript, React, Tailwind, HTML, SASS, CSS. 

• Strong experience with frontend testing (Jest, React Testing Library etc.).  

• Experience in modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, etc.)  

• Strong understanding of DOM, browser behavior, accessibility and responsive design.  

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).  

• Experience mentoring engineers and leading code reviews.  

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.  

• Good backend development exposure, including, Consuming REST APIs.  

• Understanding of backend fundamentals (data modeling, API design, Microservices). 

What Sets You Apart 

• Experience in developing Micro Frontend, UI tooling. 

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to lead initiatives end-to-end.  

• Experience with Java (Spring Boot) or similar backend frameworks.  

• Exposure to relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and data modeling.
