Responsibilities
Perform in vivo two-photon calcium imaging of neural population activity in behaving mice; Perform and optimize surgical preparations including cranial windows and GRIN-lens implantation; Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot in vivo imaging methods for CaRMA imaging; Take substantial ownership of two-photon imaging data analysis including image registration and quantitative analysis; Help align functional imaging data with post hoc molecular and cell-type information; Train and support other researchers in surgical preparation and microscope operation; Take primary technical responsibility for the lab's in vivo two-photon imaging capabilities including hardware and software implementation; Integrate two-photon imaging with behavioral-control and physiological measurement systems
