Lead real estate development projects from initial concept through construction completion and lease-up, oversee both market-rate and affordable development initiatives, guide and motivate an internal team of Associate Developers, Assistant Developers, and Administrative Assistants, build and manage an external group of financiers, architects, designers, engineers, and contractors, evaluate and identify real estate development opportunities, assess financial feasibility and site suitability for potential projects, report predevelopment spending expectations, development cash flow, and capital needs to the Chief Financial Officer, draft and finalize professional RFPs and RFQs, build strong public-private partnerships, deliver professional presentations to financiers, municipalities, and community stakeholders, develop realistic project budgets, coordinate the land development approval process efficiently, assemble and lead a high-performing development team, coordinate with legal counsel, manage site control documents, loan agreements, equity documents, and partnership agreements, work with architects and engineers on development design, establish realistic project schedules, ensure deadlines for design, financing, and construction are met, keep projects within budget, oversee contractors and other professionals during construction, manage projects efficiently through strong team leadership, deliver real estate development projects on time and within budget, coordinate lease-up of completed developments and share relevant criteria information, maintain calendars and organize development meeting logistics, balance internal and external viewpoints diplomatically and promptly, keep team leaders informed of project issues
