## About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security Research Intern to join our hardware development team. In this role, you will support the security assurance of systems-on-a-chip (SoCs), working closely with experienced engineers throughout the hardware secure development lifecycle.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world hardware design challenges in a collaborative and fast-paced engineering environment.
## Responsibilities
- Secure Design and Development Review: Review and validate the design, development, and implementation of Intel's hardware and software products and services to ensure they are secure by design.
- Threat and Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct comprehensive threat assessments, design security components, and perform vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Utilize formal education, judgment, and formal processes to develop innovative solutions to complex security problems.
- Proof-of-Concepts and Prototypes: Perform research to define boundaries and create proof-of-concepts or prototypes for new ideas/exploits.
## Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (at least 1 year remaining as an active student).
- 6+ months of experience programming in Python.
- 6+ months of experience in Computer Architecture.
- Intermediate to advanced English level.
- Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).
## Nice to Have
- Focused experience in Intel Computer Architecture.
- Experience in Python for testing and AI.
- Experience in Ethical Software hacking.
- Experience in Hardware Description Language.
