Responsibilities
Supervise sanitation associates during shifts and coordinate assignments, breaks, and handoffs. Ensure cleaning activities follow SSOPs, Master Sanitation Plan, and equipment-cleaning procedures. Inspect equipment, utensils, production rooms, coolers, drains, floors, walls, and storage areas. Partner with FSQA to verify pre-operational requirements. Ensure proper chemical dilution, labeling, handling, storage, PPE use, and SDS compliance. Train employees on sanitation procedures, chemical safety, allergen changeovers, and tool control. Verify completion and accuracy of sanitation logs, chemical-concentration records, and training documents. Address deficiencies from inspections, ATP testing, environmental monitoring, and audits. Immediately escalate food safety hazards, pest activity, equipment damage, and drainage problems. Verify allergen-changeover cleaning before equipment release. Monitor cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs. Ensure sanitation equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, stored, and accounted for. Support regulatory inspections, customer visits, and third-party audits. Provide coaching, document performance concerns, and escalate attendance or disciplinary issues. Identify opportunities to improve cleaning effectiveness, safety, and labor efficiency.
