Responsibilities
Lead the process of tracking and monitoring mining project costs by comparing budget, actuals, committed costs, and forecasts; Prepare and maintain project cost forecasts, identifying trends, deviations, and savings opportunities; Analyze variances between budget and actuals to identify root causes and propose corrective actions; Develop and maintain cost coding structures ensuring correct allocation to WBS levels; Participate in cost estimation reviews and ensure proper coding and WBS assignment; Control cost imputation from contracts, purchase orders, services, materials, labor, and equipment; Prepare segmented cost reports by WBS, disciplines, work packages, contracts, and cost centers; Coordinate with Project Controls, Procurement, Contracts, Engineering, Construction, and Finance to ensure data integrity; Ensure consistency between project cost data, budgets, contractual commitments, and SAP records; Participate in month-end closing, cost reconciliation, accruals, and forecast updates; Develop and maintain advanced analysis and reporting tools; Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control processes and methodologies.
