Responsibilities
Fill in for Material Planning Supervisor and Master Scheduler, coordinate customer orders for production, update forecasts based on demand and design changes, lead efforts to improve throughput and optimize plant capacity, review capacity by work-center and rebalance load, align promise dates with customer request dates, set up and maintain ordering parameters and MRP data, monitor capacities and product line delivery performance, monitor inventory levels to avoid excess or shortages, oversee inventory policy through ABCD classification, adjust forecasts and planning parameters, participate in cost savings efforts, review and release manufacturing orders, participate in daily production and planning meetings, coordinate engineering changes and product phase in/out, coordinate information between production, purchasing, sales, shipping and engineering, provide product availability and shipping information to sales and customers, work with customers and sales coordinators on scheduling, generate daily, weekly, monthly metric reports, develop in-depth knowledge on products and critical operations
