Role Overview:
At the CNRS Center for Molecular Biophysics (UPR4301 - CBM) located in Orléans, a research position in peptide and protein chemistry is available in the “Chemical Engineering and Chemo-Biology of Peptides and Proteins” team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a site-selective protein conjugation methodology as part of the CNRS EXPLORE project “SNAShTag.” The postdoctoral researcher will work within the “Chemical Engineering and Chemo-Biology of Peptides and Proteins” team and will report to Vincent Aucagne, the team leader.
Responsibilities:
• Synthesize peptides using solid-phase synthesis
• Optimize a method for site-selective bioconjugation of proteins
• Coordinate the methodological implementation of the project in consultation with the project manager
• Disseminate and promote the results (drafting publications related to the project's implementation, presenting results at national/international conferences)
• Monitor scientific and technological developments in their field of activity
• Apply and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the field.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
• PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Biological sciences, or Pharmacological sciences.
Experience:
• 1 - 4 years of research experience in Chemistry, Biological sciences, or Pharmacological sciences.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Skills and experience in peptide chemistry.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry, particularly HPLC and MS.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in the field.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other team members.
• Proficiency in oral and written presentation techniques (reports, publications).
• Ability to communicate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Languages:
• English language skills: oral and written expression and comprehension at Level 2.
• French: Basic level.
