Job Overview
A study aimed at understanding the behavior of proteins within and on the surface of biomolecular condensates at the Galvanetto lab (https://galvanettolab.org/). The person recruited will join the newly established Single-molecule Biophysics team run by Nicola Galvanetto, funded by the ATIP program and by the Ernst Hadorn Foundation, within the Protein Dynamics division led by Martin Blackledge.
The Institute of Structural Biology (IBS) is located on the Grenoble Science Park (ESRF/ILL/EMBL/IBS) and is a national and international player in the field of integrated structural biology. As a joint research unit (CEA-CNRS-UGA), the IBS is composed of 20 research groups proposing a multi-disciplinary approach at the frontiers of biology, physics, and chemistry.
Responsibilities
1. Carrying out research work, from setting up the experiment to writing up the results. At least two of the following:

- Analysis of smFRET data to study conformation and dynamics of disordered proteins in condensates.
- Expression and purification and labeling of intrinsically disordered proteins.
- Develop electrophysiology measurements to measure voltage within biomolecular condensates.
2. Participate in the life of the laboratory:
- Take part in the life of the research group (logistics, reagent stocks, tidying up, etc.)
- Help supervising trainees
- Take part in the Institute's scientific events
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education Level: PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Biological sciences, or Pharmacological sciences.
