Key laser processes in sustainable product manufacturing 2026_RTT_DMEC_2

In alignment with the activities of the Manufacturing research group, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano is looking for temporary researcher whose interests focus on the development of advanced laser processes for sustainable manufacturing. The research activities will be oriented towards the study of laser ablation and subtractive processes, with particular reference to process modelling, real-time monitoring, adaptive control, and the optimization of production performance and quality. Particular attention will be devoted to the adoption of digital and data-driven approaches, as well as to the extension of the developed methodologies to laser welding applications and, to a lesser extent, to additive manufacturing. The candidate will carry out his/her institutional duties within the teaching activities of the relevant academic sector.
