## About the Role
Novo is on a mission to make legal representation more accessible, and we're hiring an early Growth Marketing Manager to build our growth engine from scratch. Our SaaS product leverages AI to revolutionize legal writing, empowering legal professionals to draft court documents faster and more efficiently. There's no big playbook here yet there's a great product, real customers, and a wide-open opportunity for someone who wants to own growth end to end and figure it out fast.
## Responsibilities
- Own the whole funnel acquisition, activation, and retention as one connected system you build, measure, and rebuild.
- Wear a lot of hats copy, campaigns, lifecycle, landing pages, customer stories, the occasional webinar early-stage growth means doing the work, not just directing it.
- Run experiments that compound ship and read A/B tests in fast loops, double down on what moves the metric, and cut what doesn't.
- Make AI make sense translate sophisticated capabilities into plain English that earns trust with busy, skeptical legal professionals.
- Move in sprints work in a tight agile cadence with product and sales; launch, learn, and iterate weekly instead of planning for a quarter.
- Let the data lead live in HubSpot, Mixpanel, and Looker; turn activation, churn, NPS, and pipeline signal into the next bet.
## Requirements
- Growth or product marketing experience in SaaS, with real ownership of funnel and retention metrics.
- A scrappy, build-it-yourself instinct you're energized by a blank page and a tight timeline.
- A generalist streak; comfortable jumping between strategy, writing, analytics, and hands-on execution in the same day.
- An analytical core as comfortable in a dashboard as in a doc.
- Sharp storytelling that distills complex AI for a non-technical, high-trust audience.
- Remote-first and async-friendly strong writing, low-ego comms, and the discipline to own your time. Occasional travel to client sites and legal conferences.
## Bonus Points
- Background in a regulated industry (insurance, legal, healthcare, fintech) bonus if you started in operations or customer-facing work before marketing.
- Knowledge of legal document workflows and data-privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Prior success launching customer education programs, webinars, or community from scratch.
- You've been an early growth hire before and know what 0→1 actually feels like.
