## About the role
- Develop and keep the favorable relationship with existing and potential customers under the frequent volatility
- Manage and execute sales activities to Company's marketing objectives and strategies
- Ensure the achievement of the yearly sales forecast, through the adequate planning and co-ordination of its human and material resources
- Particular responsibility for turnover, margin and position management
- Contribute for the development of new strategies which allow the company to preserve its competitiveness and increase its market share, through the adequate analysis of market trends and opportunities
- Translate market information and knowledge into value generating trading including developing new services/products
- Negotiate and conclude spot and/or term contracts with customers
- Build and maintain (long term) favorable relationships with customers and other key stakeholders
- Provide all relevant information, including analysis for budget, performance review and managing report purposes
- Represent Company externally with customers and partners as needed, to create a positive external image of the company
- Assist Sales Manager to make sure the adequate training, development and motivation of the team and the optimization of its performance aimed to encourage the achievement of objectives
- Follow up customers' performance, acting proactively to support the Iron Ore Sales Managers on sales activities, including but not limited to negotiation of vessel/cargo swaps, definition of discharging port sequence, LC amendments
- Coordinate with back-office teams to support after-sales procedures
- Keep smooth communication between iron ore commercial team and the other areas such as Sales Admin, Trade Finance, Shipping, International Receivables
- Contribute to constant cost reduction as well as the optimization of sales results in terms of price realization & sales volume
## Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, with preference to MBA or Master degree candidate
- Experience: 3+ year working experience in commodity business
- Experience of iron ore and/or steel industry, or other commodity trading /freight trading is preferred
- Skills: Commodity trading knowledge and strong inter-personal communication ability
- The commodity fundamental analysis capability is a plus
- Teamwork and commitment to the sales tasks
- Language: English, Portuguese and Japanese (a plus)
