## About the Role Help us capture and share the moments that shape a student's future. Hope Street Group is a national nonprofit building the future of career guidance for students — powered by AI and grounded in real classrooms. Through our platform, students learn about themselves, explore careers, test pathways, and begin to imagine the life they want to build. Every day, meaningful things are happening inside classrooms using Hope Street: - students discovering careers they never knew existed - reflecting more deeply about their future - teachers finding new ways to engage students - and schools rethinking what career guidance can look like We are hiring a Social Content Lead to help bring those moments to life online. This is a highly creative, fast-moving role for someone who understands how to create content people genuinely want to watch, share, and engage with — while also knowing how to operate consistently across platforms, audiences, and production workflows. You will own Hope Street's social media and content presence day-to-day. That includes everything from traveling to schools and events to capture content, to editing videos, managing publishing schedules, experimenting with formats, and helping build a social presence that educators, students, and partners genuinely want to follow. You are likely someone who is both deeply online and highly people-oriented. You understand internet culture, storytelling, pacing, hooks, editing, and platform dynamics — but you are also comfortable walking into a classroom, talking with educators and students, and finding authentic moments worth capturing. You are already actively using AI tools in your creative workflows and are excited about how emerging technologies can improve speed, creativity, editing, research, and production. This role is focused specifically on Hope Street's social media and content presence rather than broader paid marketing or demand generation functions. ## Responsibilities This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, content creation, and social growth. You will manage Hope Street's social presence across platforms while helping build the systems, workflows, and creative processes that support consistent, high-quality content output. Your work may include: - Managing Hope Street's social media platforms and publishing schedules - Traveling to schools, classrooms, conferences, and events to capture content - Filming and editing short-form and long-form video content - Creating reels, clips, carousels, graphics, behind-the-scenes content, and narrative-driven posts - Turning raw classroom moments into polished, emotionally resonant social content - Experimenting rapidly with hooks, formats, trends, and storytelling approaches - Organizing and managing content pipelines, release schedules, and media libraries - Collaborating with teammates to support launches, storytelling efforts, and campaigns You will help document and share the real experiences happening inside classrooms and communities using Hope Street. ### Content Capture and Creation - Travel to schools, classrooms, conferences, and events to capture authentic stories and moments - Film, edit, and produce content across multiple formats and platforms - Create short-form video content optimized for engagement and storytelling - Identify moments that communicate the real impact of Hope Street's work - Balance speed and consistency with strong creative judgment and attention to detail ### Social Media Management and Growth - Manage publishing calendars and content release schedules across platforms - Develop and execute platform-specific content approaches - Monitor engagement, audience growth, and performance trends - Experiment with new content formats, creative styles, and storytelling structures - Stay highly current on social media trends, creator workflows, and platform best practices ### AI-Native Creative Workflows - Use AI tools to support editing, ideation, scripting, organization, production, and creative experimentation - Stay current on emerging creator tools, AI workflows, and media trends - Continuously improve systems for content production and operational efficiency ### Collaboration and Ownership - Work collaboratively with teammates rather than operating in a silo - Operate with a high degree of ownership and self-direction - Help build repeatable content systems and workflows where none currently exist - Bring energy, experimentation, and new creative ideas to the organization's storytelling efforts ## Requirements - A strong content creator with excellent creative instincts and storytelling ability - Deeply familiar with major social platforms and how content performs differently across them - Comfortable filming, editing, writing, and publishing content independently - Highly self-directed and comfortable operating in fast-moving, evolving environments - Naturally experimental — you enjoy testing new ideas, formats, and creative approaches - Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable interacting with educators, students, and partners in real-world settings - Organized and capable of managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously - Comfortable balancing creativity with operational consistency and execution - Curious about emerging technologies and already actively using AI in creative workflows - Motivated by mission-driven work and meaningful real-world impact ## Nice to Have - Experience creating education-focused, mission-driven, or documentary-style content - Experience growing social audiences or building creator/community-driven accounts - Photography, motion graphics, animation, or advanced editing skills - Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Descript, Figma, Notion, Airtable, or similar platforms ## What We Offer - Expected salary range: $95,000–$135,000 base salary, depending on experience, creative ability, technical skillset, and scope of ownership. ## About the Company WHY THIS ROLE IS SPECIAL You will help shape how thousands of educators, students, and partners experience Hope Street online
