This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage startup with meaningful traction, top-tier investors, and a small team moving fast. ## What you'll do - Own and build core backend systems that power highly scalable messaging infrastructure. - Design, ship, and maintain backend services that can handle billions of messages per month. - Move quickly from idea to production while maintaining a high bar for quality, reliability, and performance. - Work closely with a lean, highly technical team across engineering, product, and AI workflows. - Solve hard infrastructure problems at scale across routing, messaging, delivery, automation, and customer-facing systems. - Drive meaningful technical impact in a fast-growing, early-stage startup environment. ## Who we're looking for You are an A-tier engineer that will drive a big technical impact. You have a passion to lead the build on new innovative products from scratch with the customer experience in mind with every touch. Businesses are built by people, and we think they should be built for people, too. ## Requirements - 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong career velocity and technical ownership in early-stage (pre-seed to Series A) startups. - Strong backend engineering experience, ideally with Node.js and TypeScript. - Experience building scalable production systems. - Familiarity with AWS, especially SQS or similar queue-based infrastructure. - Ability to build from 0→1 and operate in a fast-moving startup environment. - Strong judgment around performance, reliability, and system design. - Frontend experience is a bonus, but this is primarily a backend role. - High ownership, low ego, and a bias toward shipping.
