## About the role
Do you like video? The Prime Video First Party - Client, Content and Collection group is responsible for product and services to deliver best in class customer experience for 3 Prime Video clients (Prime Video client on Fire tv devices, Prime Video client in automobiles and a new confidential client that we are working on releasing this year). We are part of the larger Prime Video organization, delivering high-quality premium video content through subscriptions as well as purchases and rentals. We are looking for a highly motivated, top notch software development leader with both business and technical acumen. On this team you will build a new team of software engineers, lead the design and implementation of services to support various Prime Video teams and create roadmap of this team. You will own customer experience, technology and delivery.
We are looking for an engineer who is excited to deliver new features and functionality to Prime Video teams. In this position you will be responsible for building new services and using existing services to track Prime Video customer journey data. You will create new services, make changes to our services and drive new features.

## BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 1+ years of experience in software development
- Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals like object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple layers of complexity
- Very strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
- Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational excellence in the team.
## PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work effectively cross-group and strong passion for team collaboration
- Proven ability to take initiative and produce results in a fast paced, agile, high ownership culture
- Experience in developing backend web services
- Experience with critical, 24x7 systems
- Experience with low level networking protocols
- Experience with high throughput, multi-threaded systems
- Experience developing web services, or other large scale distributed systems, that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between
- Ability to work effectively cross-group and great passion for team collaboration
## What we offer
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $143K - $194k/yr however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
