Maintain and optimize broadband network performance across HFC, fiber, headend, CMTS, and DOCSIS environments; diagnose and resolve complex issues across physical plant and logical network layers; monitor network performance and implement improvements; evaluate, select, and help deploy platforms, routers, switches, and FTTP/GPON infrastructure; support network design, expansion planning, and capacity upgrades; assist with DOCSIS provisioning systems including cable modem setup, DHCP, TFTP, and activation workflows; perform hands-on work with coaxial and fiber plant infrastructure, test tools, and customer premise equipment; install, configure, and troubleshoot equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Calix, Casa, and Arris; support residential and business installations including broadband, video, and voice service activation; verify signal levels, validate service quality, and resolve escalated installation and service issues; carry out routine and corrective maintenance on HFC plant components such as amplifiers, line extenders, and mini-bridgers; balance and align systems to maintain optimal signal levels and network performance; troubleshoot ingress, noise, signal degradation, and other plant impairments; support node segmentation, upgrades, and broader network optimization efforts; train and support installers and construction staff; establish and reinforce best practices for customer installations, plant maintenance, service quality, and safety; participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours service incidents
