Network Systems Administrator - El Segundo
Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree in a related discipline, or four additional years of experience in place of a degree. We require at least 1 year of relevant IT experience. We require compliance with DoD Directive 8570.01-M/8140 IAT Level II certification standards within 6 months of hire, such as Security+ CE, CCNA, CySA+, or CND. We require applicable Windows professional certifications aligned with the supported operating system environment. We strongly prefer 1 year of SCI or SAP experience. We prefer in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Windows client operating systems, and related hardware. We prefer working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, backup systems, and COMSEC integration. We prefer familiarity with JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN standards, ICDs, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards. We prefer experience with PL1 through PL4 systems and cross-domain solutions. We need someone who can work independently in a fast-moving environment alongside DoD, military, civilian, and industry partners. We require a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. We require eligibility for access to Special Access Programs (SAP). We require willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph. We require the ability to travel within our Area of Responsibility by air or ground as needed. We require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We require the ability to remain stationary for about half of the work time in secure office areas. We require the ability to move throughout the office and surrounding areas to access files, safes, cabinets, and computer equipment.
Responsibilities:
We install, maintain, audit, and support a secure Microsoft Windows network environment and limited web and data application services. We maintain internet protocols and services, including IP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and SSL. We oversee file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and system records. We work directly with local customers to deliver technical IT support and resolve system issues quickly. We perform routine maintenance, hardware replacements and upgrades, firmware updates, and system configuration changes. We manage backup libraries, carry out scheduled tape backups, and maintain secure storage on-site and off-site. We participate in planning meetings with IT staff, Program Managers, and customers to prepare systems for operational use and support testing.
