Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree plus 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance, or a high school diploma/GED plus 8 years of equivalent experience. We prefer 8+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or a related field. We prefer 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise CI/CD pipelines with GitLab. We prefer 5+ years of experience applying DevSecOps practices, security controls, and automated compliance checks within CI/CD workflows. We value experience building automation solutions with Python, Bash, and other scripting languages. We look for knowledge of modern application technology stacks. We prefer experience creating build processes for Java, .NET, iOS, and Android, and automating deployments for OpenShift and virtual machines. We consider AWS and Azure knowledge a plus. We prefer practical experience in Linux environments, especially RHEL, along with Ansible playbook development, artifact deployment, monitoring tool configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, and vulnerability remediation. We value experience automating deployment and release activities across OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, virtual machines, and cloud environments. We prefer experience implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform for cloud provisioning and DevSecOps tooling. We look for deep knowledge of security scanning and experience integrating scans into CI/CD pipelines. We value experience working across application security, application engineering, QA automation, and infrastructure teams to embed security and automation across the software lifecycle. We prefer experience migrating applications between source control management systems. We value working knowledge of Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm. We prefer experience administering enterprise tools and platforms such as AWS, JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Nexus, Artifactory, Snyk, and SonarQube.
Responsibilities:
We design, build, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment activities, and we standardize adoption of these practices. We automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. We identify manual workflows and create scripts and automation to improve efficiency and reduce errors. We implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to track system health and availability, and we perform root cause analysis for production incidents. We strengthen the security of our delivery pipeline and infrastructure by embedding security best practices and tools throughout the lifecycle. We collaborate closely with development, QA, application security, governance, and IT teams to improve delivery outcomes. We implement and manage containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. We enhance department systems, processes, and applications by evaluating improvements, developing modules, creating testing approaches, and producing supporting materials. We analyze user requests to determine scope, effort, and system impact, and we review specifications, code, tests, documentation, and implementation plans for accuracy. We provide technical support for production systems, resolve reported issues, anticipate maintenance needs, and ensure reliable end-user functionality. We create documentation for system, end-user, and operational use, including technical specifications and application designs. We serve as a technical resource across the software development lifecycle and may guide less experienced associates. We provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
