Computer Engineer - PTO, Paid Holidays & Leave
Salary: $79,000 - 135,000 per year
Requirements:
We require an active Secret clearance and eligibility for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information access. We require U.S. citizenship to obtain the necessary clearance. We are seeking experience across the embedded hardware product lifecycle, including design, testing, and integration. We need proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium. We require experience developing embedded firmware for microprocessors. We value containerization experience, including tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. We require a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline; a masters degree is preferred. We are looking for strong independent work habits, clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and adaptability to changing workloads. We need candidates who can work primarily in an office or lab environment and periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
We evaluate, analyze, and develop hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure to improve operational task execution. We design, develop, and test microelectronics and custom embedded systems throughout the full lifecycle. We translate high-level requirements into integrated engineering solutions. We perform technical trade-off studies, weighing risk, cost, and benefit when making design decisions. We design and integrate electrical circuits and durable mechanical packaging. We develop bare-metal C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers using test-driven methods. We manage source code and configuration control through GitLab. We may also develop full-stack applications, including SQL, C++ services, and React/Next.js, where needed. We carry out developmental testing and solution evaluations. We maintain program configuration management and documentation standards.
