Specialist Software Engineer Data Analyst

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year
Requirements:
We require an active TS/SCI clearance. We require a Bachelors degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or 8 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. We require familiarity with secure, high-side AWS environments and the C2S Access Portal (CAP). We require experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB, or similar relational and non-relational platforms. We require a Security Certification or DoD IAT Level II certification, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of starting. We prefer experience developing full stack applications in modern classified or mission-focused environments. We prefer proficiency with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. We prefer experience building back-end services and APIs with Java, Python, Node.js, .NET, or comparable frameworks. We prefer knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. We prefer experience with AI/ML-enabled mission applications, scientific or sensor-derived data, and transitioning prototype capabilities into operational software tools.
Responsibilities:
We modernize and migrate analytics applications into a high-performance web application using current web technologies. We design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications, including user interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and data integrations. We build modern, responsive, and intuitive front-end solutions using current frameworks and best practices. We develop secure, scalable back-end services and application logic that support mission workflows. We deploy and sustain applications in AWS, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective. We integrate cloud-native services, databases, and application components across distributed environments. We apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines. We collaborate with system engineers, cloud engineers, cyber teams, and mission stakeholders to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions. We work closely with customers each day to understand operational needs, gather feedback, and refine application functionality. We prepare architectural designs, implementation plans, and technical roadmaps aligned with organizational and mission objectives. We create and maintain technical documentation for system design, architecture, deployment, and sustainment activities. We deliver professional presentations and technical briefings to stakeholders, translating complex information into clear, actionable updates. We support multiple mission areas and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
