We prefer 1+ year of Portal customization experience. We prefer 1+ year of scripting experience beyond basic ServiceNow scripts. We prefer 1+ year of Agile Scrum experience. We prefer an active DHS Public Trust clearance. We prefer 1+ year of App Engine experience. We prefer one or more additional mainline ServiceNow certifications, especially ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator. We prefer strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices. We prefer familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM principles. We prefer strong JavaScript and GlideScript scripting skills. We prefer solid technical capability in workflow configuration and business rule development. Responsibilities:
We work with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to capture business outcomes and functional needs, then translate them into effective ServiceNow solution designs. We collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ServiceNow solutions that align with design requirements and industry best practices. We develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, and UI policies. We support data migration planning and execution from legacy systems into ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy and consistency. We validate that data is mapped to the most appropriate ServiceNow structures, favoring out-of-the-box schemas before custom tables or fields. We assist with integrating ServiceNow with other systems and applications to enable seamless end-to-end processes. We create detailed technical documentation covering configurations, customizations, data schemas, and design decisions. We perform thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations to confirm functionality, data integrity, and user experience. We address defects and make adjustments to ensure the solution delivers the intended results. We support end-user training to promote successful adoption of implemented solutions. We assist with change management activities, helping users, senior developers, and architects through the transition period. We troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations in partnership with support teams. We follow security best practices and ensure solutions comply with relevant requirements. We stay current on new ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices, while continuing certification and training to support team growth. We provide technical mentorship to Associate ServiceNow Developers and share lessons learned with the practice. We coordinate closely with project managers, implementation specialists, and stakeholders, keeping communication clear on risks, issues, successes, and overall status.
