Sr Director, Software Engineering
Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year
Requirements:
We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 10+ years of applied experience, including 5+ years leading technologists to resolve complex technical challenges within and beyond the domain. We look for experience leading large or cross-functional technology teams. We value a track record of influencing in highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering impact at scale. We need experience leading complex initiatives spanning system design, testing, and operational stability. We expect experience building application frameworks and/or developing platforms. We require familiarity with machine learning frameworks and big data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Spark. We seek experience driving multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models, including governance, measurement, and secure handling of sensitive inputs and outputs. We need deep knowledge of responsible AI risk, controls, and large-scale resiliency and security expectations, with the ability to advise senior leaders on safe adoption and reuse-first strategies. We value experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent. We expect extensive practical cloud-native experience. We require expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Responsibilities:
We lead multiple technology and process implementations across departments to achieve enterprise-wide technology goals. We define and scale multi-department strategy for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation, including standards for delivery workflows, release governance, test modernization, resilience engineering, and incident response acceleration. We apply knowledge of the software development life cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase reuse and unlock capacity across teams. We provide hands-on thought leadership in cloud-based model integration solution architecture. We demonstrate strong understanding of consumer financial products, data environments, and the processes needed to implement risk and finance models. We directly manage multiple areas with a strategic transactional focus. We provide leadership and high-level direction to teams across multiple platforms, divisions, and lines of business. We serve as the primary interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, and executives to drive alignment across competing priorities. We manage multiple stakeholders, complex programs, and large cross-product collaborations. We influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
