Lead Networking Systems Engineer
Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 7 years of related experience; in lieu of a degree, we require 13 years of comparable experience. We require an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. We value experience with servers, multiplexers, routers, switches, and COMSEC devices. We value proven troubleshooting expertise at the LRU and CCA level. We value strong hardware and software diagnostic skills. We prefer familiarity with tools such as TeamCenter, SAP, SAPME, ProPricer, DOORS, Jira, Visio, and Excel. We value networking experience, including knowledge of networking protocols. We look for excellent written and verbal communication skills. We value strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. We look for the ability to lead technical discussions across multidisciplinary teams. We value the ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with engineering, program management, and operations.
Responsibilities:
We serve as the technical lead for systems engineering activities supporting the program. We direct and take ownership of systems engineering work on the program. We provide technical direction across design, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment efforts. We identify issues and opportunities, assess their impact, and define appropriate corrective actions. We perform root cause analysis and develop practical solutions to complex technical challenges. We communicate sophisticated technical concepts clearly to engineers, program leadership, operations personnel, and customers. We support unfamiliar or demanding assignments with a proactive, solution-focused mindset. We work closely with the Project Engineer and Program Manager to align technical priorities and execution. We build and maintain effective relationships with external customers. We lead networking system designs for next-generation communication products and systems. We prepare and deliver technical briefings for leadership and customers. We drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned to future designs. We oversee product development technical work and system integration activities to ensure technically sound designs that meet system-level requirements. We are willing and able to travel 4 to 6 times per year, including occasional weekend travel.
