Mission systems software architect
Salary: $177,650 - 240,350 per year
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline or 22 years equivalent related experience Over 3 years of experience in software architecture More than 7 years experience with C++, C#, Java, or Python At least 1 year of experience leading software-related projects or technical teams Minimum of 1 year of experience with requirements, design, development, and testing of software systems products Preferred: Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry Familiarity with embedded software architecture/development/design Experience developing mission systems software on aircraft platforms Knowledgeable in distributed and containerized software architecture Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows platforms Proficient in Agile software development and related methodologies Familiarity with open architecture constructs such as Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) Understanding of safety-critical software development Experience in secure software development environments across various security levels Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is desirable
Responsibilities:
Develop and sustain the Mission Systems software architecture roadmap and vision in collaboration with the Platform Software Architect and Mission Systems Chief Architect Ensure software teams produce, document, and uphold architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems Support the deployment of containerized software architecture across a range of hardware types Guarantee compliance and aid in policy enforcement for relevant processes, reference architectures, and industry standards Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure alignment with roadmaps, industry standards, and contractual obligations Oversee the development of code and integration of complex software components into operational software systems Manage software verification plans, test processes, and test environments, executing test procedures and recording outcomes to verify software requirements Plan, implement, and document software research and development projects Supervise and assess supplier performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards Coordinate activities among the Mission Systems solution team, Supply Chain, Digital Engineering Environment team, and Systems Engineering Mentor and train other team members Operate with minimal oversight
