Quality Engineer

Salary: $109,000 - 149,000 per year
Requirements:
We require a bachelors degree plus 6 years of experience in systems engineering or systems programming, or a high school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience in those fields. We need strong proficiency in object-oriented programming. We require 7 years of experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android. We expect hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. We need strong client-server, web, and mobile QA experience. We require relevant experience testing native mobile applications. Experience with mobile automation using Appium is preferred. We need experience with defect tracking and management tools, especially Jira, as well as functional regression and system testing tools. We require experience in root cause analysis and defect diagnosis, including documenting software defects and reporting them to developers and project managers. We expect strong knowledge of Agile and iterative software development life cycle practices. We value the ability to improve testing efficiency through automation, tooling, and goal setting. Domain knowledge in global digital banking applications is required. Additional skills in Java, Python, automation testing, database validation, integration testing, Selenium, Jira, Git, APIs, and BDD/Gherkin are required.
Responsibilities:
We lead technical support and service activities for the installation and testing of software, patches, and upgrades. We resolve complex product failures and technical issues, while managing administration, communication, and documentation throughout support activities. We design, implement, and maintain processes for backup, recovery, data security, and disaster recovery. We develop and maintain automation scripts in Java or C#, using Selenium for web UI testing and Appium for native mobile testing on iOS and Android. We design and execute BDD-style test scenarios with Cucumber to support collaboration across QA, development, and business teams. We build and maintain API automation with Rest Assured, validating RESTful services through dynamic payloads, headers, and assertions. We create and maintain database validations to ensure data integrity across backend systems and test environments. We integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab and Jenkins to enable rapid feedback and continuous validation. We analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and support defect resolution with QA and the project team. We work cross-functionally to define testing strategies, test deliverables, automation acceptance criteria, and quality gates for enterprise applications. We promote quality engineering practices, including shift-left testing, test data management, and early automation adoption.
