Requirements:
We require an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI, and U.S. citizenship. We need alignment to the DoD 8140 work role for Software Developer (621) at the intermediate level. We require a CSSLP, GSEC, or comparable certification, or the ability to earn one within six months of the start date. We need a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, plus 5 to 8+ years of relevant experience, or a masters degree with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience. We require strong hands-on Linux administration experience, ideally with Ubuntu. We need practical experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and virtualized environments in production or mission-focused settings. We require experience working in DevSecOps and Agile/Scrum environments. We need familiarity with Jira and Confluence for lifecycle tracking and team collaboration. We require experience applying DoD vulnerability scan results and remediating findings using ACAS, Nessus, and STIG compliance practices. We need strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a technical team environment.
Responsibilities:
We design, deploy, and maintain Ubuntu Linux environments, including repository synchronization servers across physical, virtual, and containerized systems. We architect, build, and operate Kubernetes clusters and virtual machine infrastructure to support scalable, resilient applications. We develop and integrate identity and access management capabilities across systems and applications, including authentication and authorization services. We support DevSecOps pipelines and automation for software build, test, integration, and deployment activities. We apply DoD security controls such as patching, STIG implementation, configuration hardening, and vulnerability remediation. We collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multiple concurrent releases while maintaining reliability, performance, and security. We troubleshoot platform, application, and infrastructure issues and implement effective corrective actions. We contribute to system architecture decisions and provide technical guidance or mentorship to junior engineers when needed. We create and maintain technical documentation, implementation procedures, and operational support materials.
